4 Organisational and Productivity Apps to Try Tomorrow

Let’s be real; making the transition from physical diaries, notepads, and sticky notes in your house or office can be hard.

Whether it's due to a force of habit, or lack of knowledge on the latest trends; whatever your reason, letting go of these items can seem daunting. If you're someone who's balancing on the fence of going full digital, I can guarantee that life will become a whole lot easier, and Mother Nature will be 100-percent on your side.

April is going to name her first born child Asana.

First and foremost.

Google Calendar

In 2018 there were 1.2 billion monthly active users using Gmail, so there's no surprise that Gmail has additional applications to help with productivity and time management. One of my all-time favourite apps, and one that I refer to over 20 times each day is my Google Calendar. Balancing work, a social life, additional study and appointments into one week can be overwhelming if you don’t have a system. Thankfully, Google Calendar is colour coded, simple to use, and mobile friendly. It allows you to opt in for notifications to certain events and choose daily, weekly or monthly views to scope your schedule down to the minute.

Google Keep and Evernote

When it comes to note-taking and jotting down those light bulb ideas, having an application that's quickly accessible is key. Google offers another great app that allows you to store notes, checklists, and reminders that sync to your Google Calendar. What a dream! Throw out those sticky notes and check out Google Keep or alternatives like Evernote. Both are desktop and mobile friendly.

Our love child. This is what the team at April Ford relies on to streamline all workflows and keep everyone on the same page. We could not rave highly enough about Asana's functionality to boost productivity with a range of high performance features specifically designed to never let a task or project slip through the cracks. There is nothing more satisfying than ticking off a task and visually seeing a project at its entirety broken down into little bite-sized manageable tasks. Asana lies at the core of AF productivity; it's the first thing we look at every morning and last thing we check when we sign off for the day. We love you, Asana.

Password forgetfulness has to be the pandemic of the 21st Century. And, whilst we can confirm that constantly forgetting your password isn't actually a disease; if it were, 1Password would totally be the cure. 1Password has been our saving grace in removing the most important information out of our minds and securely storing it away in a virtual vault for safekeeping. Voted in the top 10 best apps of 2019 for Forbes, having 1Password as your sidekick means you can use all the crazy letter-number-symbol combinations that your heart desires - ain't no one getting into your confidential documents.

Stay Organised, ✨
