March Wrap

After working as a Marketing Manager for the past 10 years, I never truly appreciated the difficulties of growing a business. Not in terms of the typical expectations of lead generation or finding new business, but in handling rapid growth, maintaining company culture and making vision and value based decisions.

This month, we held our first quarterly retreat at Pier 33 in Mooloolaba. It was great to take the team beyond the environment of the office to share and align them with our vision for the future. Because we've grown so quickly, it's easy to forget that not everyone understands everyone else's role, what our values mean and why they're so important.

And, since sharing is caring, I thought I'd share our vision and the values that guide us into making decisions, every. Single. Day.

In the space of the last 30 days, we've welcomed Sophie as a Social Media Content Producer as Ruby, who has worked with #teamAF for the past year, shifted into Project Management (something we're really excited about). All this growth has caused us to outgrow our leafy office in beautiful Buderim. We're in the process of looking for a new and inspiring space to house our growing team and their needs. We cannot wait to show you our future plans!

What happened this month.

We celebrated Evolution Early Learning's first birthday. We've worked alongside Ara since the beginning and she still continues to amaze us through her incredible strength as a woman and business owner. Her vision for Evolution Early Learning guides every decision made. Take a look at the birthday celebrations below, and if you're looking for an early learning centre, the Evolution Early Learning team is always readily available to take you on a tour - book here.

We continued the March birthday celebrations as Woombye and Districts Community Bank Branch reached their 10-year milestone. Past and present board members, staff, founding members, shareholders, customers and even the Sunshine Coast Mayor, Mark Jamieson joined in on the fun!

March saw Big Kart Track join the April Ford family. Working alongside our friends at Queensland Advertising, we've partnered to provide an approach that reflects the multiple offers Big Kart Track has available. If you haven’t experienced the fast-paced fun and thrill of karting, we think it's time! Tickets can be found here.

To top off the month, we finished production with our friend Sarah from Grace House Creative on a video showcasing the amazing Luther Heights Youth Camp in Coolum; an amazing facility for school camps and corporate retreats. This month they commence construction of their multi-million dollar expansion to provide excellent accommodation, vibrant multipurpose central dining hall, indoor social spaces and beautiful outdoor recreational areas for future campers. When was the last time you visited Hello Harry for a delicious burger splurge!? Last week? Last month? Last year? The good news is they've expanded their menu to feature 23 burgers, new sides and shakes, so it's time to visit again. With that many options, there's something to keep everyone happy!

This is just a small snippet of what's been happening at #teamAF in March. Stay tuned for next month's instalment.
